It's really amazing how people can be stuck back together, I know the hand will never be the same mobility-wise but still! To think he's managed to amputate his hand in two places and they've put it back together with only the loss of his middle finger is outstanding. The NHS really does do amazing stuff every day, it wasn't too long ago (60 years or so) that this stuff wouldn't have even been possible even in the best operating theatres in the world.
