Today we had Virgin installed. My original plan was to get rid of all the sky services we had (HD+, Telephone, Broadband = £45 + £15 to BT) and just get Virgin broadband installed. But when I called they chucked in the TV for the same price! So not only have I saved about £30 a month, but I've gained over 7mb of broadband speed!!! I should have done this months ago!

I will keep an eye on it, I've heard people have problems with Virgin, but for now it's working great, even through HomePlugs and Wireless! :D

I'm sure it'll only be a matter of weeks and I'll be hankering after 50MB! ;)

Oh No... soon all the posts will be wizers no one will get chance to comment  :D

It has been a decent service for many years. I've been having the odd niggle this year though. I think there may be routing or contention issues but I've never had an appropriate response.

I wish I had a screenshot of speedtest.net from the weekend. I just wanted to chill and watch Youtube vids. They were really slow to buffer (as in not buffering at all) so ran a couple.

I had d/l : 70 - 120Mb/s and upload 0.6Mb/s lol. I still couldn't get Mr. Lie-Nielson's or other Youtube vids to stream well though :)

lol nice upload! Must be a leased line surely?

Just got d/l 92Mb/s at work but failed on upload due to our proxy :) 100Mbit connection here so pretty good seeing as the internet source for me is 7 miles away across the 100Mbit WAN.

I got a couple of 30/30 but that was the fastest upload, not bad to say we have several thousand computers on on the network.

repeated -

which is nonsense...

I have a download speed monitor running and it shows the same maximum speed I've had for ages - 40mb/s . Considering i'm paying for 10mb I'm not complaining.... but its not as fast as these tests say.

Hi, RodgerS

You could have used the same font
