Having owned my multi cut-se since 2018 with no problems and cut hundreds of 3d jigsaws out of 1" poplar , something broke! But getting a replacement part from henger uk is driving me nuts.
The part that broke was one of the screw/bolt that clamps the blade, no problem i thought trawling through there website it shows on their exploded diagram as part no 33 ,listed as a thumb screw? As i wasn't sure listing was right i have cust/support they said to be sure they would send an e-mail picture of said screw, when that came through it was wrong, I did notice that they sold blade clamps with spare screw, so I put two in my basket only to get a message saying insufficient stock? So rang cust/support who said don't know why we've over 70 in stock!
So put my order in for two clamps with spare screws and a metal plate insert cringing at the price and then 7.50 p&p
Today my order turned up two clamps, but spare screw are just normal Allan key screws, not the square headed ones, so back onto cust/support they wanted pics on a email. So have sent that off and waiting on their reply.
Can't believe all this messing about for a broken screw.

No consolation to you, but I've the same sort of thing with a bloody silly rubber bellows for a Proxxon job. No stockists in UK boast any, and although I can get them from abroad, the postage/packaging costs - for something that weighs about the same as a toenail paring - are ridiculous.

Just an idea.

Do you not have the quick clamp? I never use anything else than the quick clamp I find it indispensable. :)

I should of checked my email before last night's post, but it doesn't get any better! I've had a reply from henger which reads , you are looking for a hexscrew, we don't well them separately they come with the blade clamp , the photo is exactly what you have ordered !! Okay I should of enlarged the photo on my phone , but if your ordering spare screws to fit the blade clamp surely they should be the same? It's like BMW saying we don't sell one wheel but you've got to buy a wheel with all five wheel nuts!!
If that's the case why do they show it as a separate screw on their exploded diagram, and you get two spare screws with the machine!
And they want me to send them a picture of exactly what I want !
At over £16 + vat it's starting to grate plus £7.50 p&p
The only thing I can try is German part of the company!!

Not that it helps with sourcing the part from the UK but the part it looks like you’re looking for is called (in the US at least) a Hegner Toughscrew.

In the description it mentions part 33. I’ve checked one of my clamps and it looks to be the same shape/design.

Hope this helps with your search, but I would still go for purchasing a Quick Clamp, as mentioned in my earlier reply.

Don’t know if it might help but there is a chap in Carlisle who reconditions Hegners he always has several machines on eBay could be worth contacting him?

Yes I've got one of those I use it for piercing work, but most of the time just use two normal blade clamps, I just find it incredible that they sell virtually every other screw, bolt ,washer, ect, but can't sell individual screw/bolt motor all at ridiculous prices.

It's amazing our American cousin's can get hold of the damned things! Like you say it comes out as part no 33 but when you ask customer support they send a picture of something totally different.

Any fastener specialist/shop will better understand your questions. This look like a tool post screw. A skilled turner would be useful too.

Everything that Hegner sells is at ridiculous prices, the little rocker switch (cheap - not usual Hegner quality) went open circuit on my machine, I looked on the website - they wanted £24 + p&p for a replacement, the thing is that it's just a 'bog' standard mini rocker switch available widely for around £1. Being in the electrical trade I took one out of an old hair-dryer which is identical to the Hegner one (Hegner do not make the switch).

Many years later it's still working fine.

And probably a good 'un.
If I'd a printer I'd give it a go....
They're not too clever, to be honest - no wonder some folk use a fish tank blower instead, but it means another plug/socket, another cable to trip over...
And all for this... maybe 1.5" tall?
They tend to split down the seam for obvious reasons. Mine's had a running repair with some "liquid rubber" out of a tube, but it doesn't take long to rupture again...

On the subject of blowers, when mine packed up on the Delta, I "borrowed " one of the dogs squeaky toys, took the squeaker out, hot melt glued it under the bottom arm, and put the pipe in the speaker hole and it works a treat.

Wonder if they're the same ones? They look it. I haven't got time now, as I said on another thread my OH is in hospital 20+ miles away, but I'll try to at least measure the drawings for you later if you don't do CAD? Give you some idea.
There will be somebody local who'll print it up I'm sure.

Wow! Thank you!
They certainly appear the same... I'll whip mine off in a while and measure it. They are a bit crude in all honesty, so perhaps the measurements aren't that crucial....we shall see!

Again, beyond the call of duty!
Thank you!
