Fungus Growth on timber

I have access to a neighbours joinery workshop, it is in need of a good tidy up and sorting out but recently we have noticed that some of the wood in storage and in the workshop is stuck together like the proverbial to a blanket.
Hopefully there is a picture attached

Does anybody have an idea of what it is and what we can, or should do about it?

scrape it off and then spray the timber with 50:50 mix white vinegar and water and leave to air dry

Looks like insect tunnels radiating out from a central brood chamber.

I used to get them on timber in my old shed where two boards were stored close together with a small gap. Figured they are something insect related but could never work out what. They seemed to be nothing to do with the timber, ie not damaging it, but more related to the size of the gap ie 2-4mm. I took them as benign from a timber perspective.

It looks like something a bee would make? There is a Mud Dauber Wasp that makes tunnels that look similar to this but a quick search online suggests they are not a common species her in the UK?

Might be a species of spider.

I agree
But damage is only superficial, nothing to worry about.
Sunny Bob can rest easy as its not woodworm.
