Mike,

Couldn't you at least have made on of them a 71 1/2? Much more useful than the 71 in any case (you always seem to need the base to be where the McDonald's arch is on the 71)

No problem; he can put a fancy wooden base on one of them and hey presto, instant #71 1/2. In fact that's as good a test as any to see if it is a collection...

Cheers, Alf

Much more use o that C word from you Miss Bushel Britches and we'll be washin your mouth with a wire brush and carbaulic..

sides... I don't need to fit a wooden base to any of them, my gunmetal router already has one fitted... it needs some tuning, but it works pretty well... cleaned up some sliding dovetails for me jus fine....

 :p

there's none o them seen a feather duster yet... ;P~~~

that said, by the looks of em, they've both been owned by collectors; the Stanley's still sporting its original factory ground edges... coulda polished better faces with a 10" ******* file buttttt....

then again, maybe the furrows in the back of the blade are to trap air?? ground effect in reverse...??

<thinkin I'm too sober for this conversation....

Anyone newcomers want to be added to the list before I update it again? Please remember, its types of plane not manufacturers - so no references to owning 10 Holteys please.

Damn.

Actually if there is anyone out there with 10 Holteys, feel free to PM me. I could be your new best friend really, really quickly...

I can't remember, Adam; did bevel-up planes get their own entries? Better list add the BUS for me anyway. The BUT, I don't know. I will use it while I try out the "system" but I can't say it's a "go to" at the moment, so it's up to you. Gosh, better add the #140 too. And take off the #112 'cos I don't have it anymore. And one of the bullnoses. Oh heck, can I just start again with which planes I'm actually using instead of that "and you thought you had it bad" list I previously posted, or will you shoot me?! ](*,)

Cheers, Alf
