I would like to make something that fits on the end of my painting pole which will operate a squirty bottle with weed killer, to eliminate ferns growing out of my chimney stacks. I have seen them online but thought it would be an interesting challenge to print one. The mechanism will be the interesting bit but the real challenge will be to get it to fit on the pole. I have two options the plastic taper or the screw thread.
Do any of you have any suggestions how to accurately produce either the internal taper or thread? I would think that the taper will be the most forgiving as long as the angle is absolutely accurate but the tread would make the most solid fixing.
Both are pretty standard and interchangeable between poles but I can’t find online accurate dimensions to work from.
At the moment I use Sketchup but I suspect there are better programs I'm not familiar with.
Any advice would be most welcome.
