Iv'e just got the 3M Peltor worktunes 26 (WTD2600) and without using either the audio input or radio they have fantastic noise reduction.

I mostly use them with my own transmitter so I can keep listening to books while I work, the FM reception is ok and the audio link is also good.

Nick Gibbs can you hear me, whoops no pun intended

Sorry, I missed this, but have received your PM and will look into doing an article. I consider ear protection my first line of defence when woodworking, not only to save my hearing, but to create a calmer environment.

Cheers

Nick
That's great Nick, as I said in my PM I will give you as much help as possible should it be required.

Just for the record I have purchased a pair of Peltor Optime III's, they are great, I only wish I has bought them years ago.

I find EAR Soft plugs work great for me. However, when I'm using an angle grinder for example, I also wear my Optime III muffs. Having plugs and muffs on makes one hell of a difference.
