Hi Digit

I'm sure you speak for us all here , and indeed world wide , there no punishment that can be dealt out or is fit enough to deal with this this this no word described this person .hc

I should imagine he will need solitary confinement where he is concerned, I don't hold out much hope for his welfare, not that I care, the fxxxxxg bxxxxxd.

Rich.

I'll tell you one thing hc, he's going to have watch his back in prison!
Our posts crossed Rich.
Till he retired my wife's brother in law was a prison officer at Albany and some of the inmates had to be guarded from the other inmates according to him.

Roy.

Hi Digit

what's the old saying , honour among thieves, even they have children , if they get the chance we all know will happen to him. hc

And so does he I'll guess hc. God help him 'cos the cons won't!

Roy.

Sometimes, the world has ways of making you ashamed to be part of it.

:(

Very sad and disturbing story.
Difficult to comprehend what has gone so drastically wrong in the mind of such an individual, and very, very , very difficult to find any sort of sympathy for what will no doubt be qualified as an 'illness' at some stage.
As said... 'sickening'

I can think of loads of ways to punish this guy - unfortunately none of them legal. Perhaps my favourite would be to send him with a large group of mothers on an outing to a remote spot.

The sad fact is that, other than losing his freedom, he will effectively get away with his evil deed. He will be housed at Her Majesty's Pleasure along with like-minded beasts to avoid being mutilated by other convicts. He will be well fed and cared for in reasonably comfortable surroundings with facilities that many decent people could only dream of.

The lack of suitable punishment is almost as evil as the original misdeed.

Someone will be along soon quoting human rights

Are we thinking of the same person Pete ? It would not surprise me if he popped up with some legal gobbledy **** attempting to justify the unjustifiable in the name of legal 'rights' (Remember the farmer Martin thread?)

As someone has already said this monster will end up in a reasonably large centrally heated room with TV & radio and three meals a day which he will not have to cook or pay for, even a mobile phone is (allegedly) allowed now so I'm told.

It's sickening, both the crime and the way he'll be treated like a celebrity by the so called 'justice' system. I really can't understand how the people who work in the legal proffession can sleep at night.

I think it is sick in the head to use a thread about events like this to launch personal attacks.

For what it is worth, I hope this sick **** never gets out of prison. As Jenx said, it is impossible to even begin to understand what is going on in the mind of someone like that to allow them to something like (or want to in the first place).

It is natural to want vengeance wrought on him - the equivalent violation (scaled up) non-stop until he died maybe.

That's my first reaction.

Then I remember that I am not like him, and I will not allow him to make me like him, even if in revenge for something terrible.

It's called being civilised - sometimes it seems like a sacrifice.

I understand and empathise where you are coming from Jake, but at the end of the day, HOW can society in general, deter this from happening again, certainly not by offereing 3 square meal's a day and as much TV as you want, I agree that we as reasonable folk must not sink to the levels of a lynch mob, but, surely it must be made UNACCEPTABLE by society to even contemplate such horrid actions?

Rich.

Jake you are right we must remain civilised, but we should question why he may enjoy a standard of living that exceeds many in the uk ( I have never been held at her majesties pleasure it my be hell, but I have been told its not that bad). However I gather his life may not be that good when other inmates have their say.

Well certain posters made certain remark about 'Human Rights' and according to the Mail, they were correct.
According to the headline the guy is claiming the statement by the little girl breaches his human rights.
When will this dreadful piece of legislation be dumped?

Easy, when this dreadful administration of a so called democratically elected government is dumped, (okay, I'll grant that the party was democratically elected, but the leader was not and the original manifesto upon which they were faithfully and believingly elected and voted into office for has not been adhered to)

Rich.

The key thing in all these stories which always gets missed, is what motivated him to do such a thing?

Unless as a society we can understand that, we'll be no nearer in stopping this kind of thing happening.

It's all well and good punishing these people, and so they should. But it is not a deterrent, it will not stop more of this happening. The people that do these terrible things don't think about the consequences, it doesn't occur to them, hence why no matter what punishment is prescribed it won't deter these kind of people.

I would rather these people be taken to a high security facility, and be tested and researched upon until we can figure what makes them tick, and when we do, we'll be in a much stronger position as a society to deal with these situations.
