The fact that the 2 x shelving widths almost exactly match the width of the frame is a complete (and happy) coincidence - I didn't know whether I'd be cutting a sliver off one of them, or adding a "tool channel" at the front wall interface - but was prepared to do either...

Clearly, there is a gaping hole at the far end of the worktop - but that will get filled by some more spare board of one kind or another, but until then gets a temporary fill - and this is how it looks set to finish. Just need to screw the boards down, plus a couple of other bits.

I now have a work top - and there is space to move around. Bit of wood storage under the bench, and my tool bags fit in the racks and the vac and cyclone stored under then far end along with some other potentially useful wood off-cuts, etc, not forgetting the lawnmower stacked next to the shed door.

Not everything is in a permanent place, yet, and the rear shelving will get a proper sort for tools-to-hand versus storage out of the way.

The last thing to consider for this stage is where to fit a vice/what type, and whether to put a few dog holes in the worktop?

Worktop now secured to the frame and the gaping hole filled at the far end.

Invested in a vice frame, but not sure which spot to install it in?

I'm thinking the top one?

Impressive build. A car port for our motorhome is one of ideas that is still on the "thinking about it" list, not least because it will need to accommodate a 3 meter high, 7 meter long vehicle so it will need careful planning and some long lengths of timber. I've checked and I will also need planning permission, which isn't a big thing except I assume it means I can't adapt too much as I go.

Your build has certainly inspired me to maybe move our carport up the list. (y)

Many 'kit' build carports can easily accommodate a larger motorhome (look in the 'farm buildings' area)- the mob that made my shed have several that would easily fit one and I would be surprised if similar weren't available in the UK...

(my shed for example is 21m x 11m and 5m high at the doors- I can literally tilt the bed on the tilt tray inside the shed...)
