Hi all
I have not posted for a while, a new baby daughter last June to go along
with our two and a half year old twins, not much free time available. but I
started a garden project last summer, which i hope to finish in the next 3 to 4 months, its a great burden on the bank account having all these wonderful ideas, I was going to wait till it was finished and then post as its taking me ages, the structure I built from steel and then clad, to this point, the roof will be from copper, cladding from cedar, this is an old picture I am slightly further on, and I am in the process of buying the cladding.
The structure has the silver foil bubble stuff on it at the moment,
question is can I clad direct onto it rather than use battons.
if not the outside is not that much of a problem, but the inside I really
could do without using battons?? Thoughts please.

Though I have not posted I have been popping onto the forum to see what everyone has been up to some really great work, particually loved that tree table, the blanket box I have a room crying out for one, but to all who take the time to post thank you for letting us see some great work.
Regards

Scott

Hi Scott.

I must admit, I'm not sure what it is? You speak of insulation, so will this be an enclosed room? Or is it a veranda of some sort. Sorry, maybe I'm not awake today. Just not entirely sure what I'm looking at.

Right 2nd guess Wizer,
It is a veranda, I will not be enclosing it, but I have built it that if in the future
someone wants to put some glass pannels into the sides they can.
Our back garden is very windy as we are at quite a high elevation,
I saw the glass verandas that are advertised and the typical victorian style don't suit my house style, also the obvious cost savings by doing everything myself, but as with most things it seemed to grow till I ended up with this,
when I post the build pics which are on my home computer, you will see the garden is a japanese style, so I wanted it to be a simple design style, I will have lanters for lighting, also i hope to use bamboo blinds for the sides which can be lowered for protection from the wind.
