Catch Question

I want to make a portable storage box. Picture a box about 12-14" square, and about 8" high.

I want the top to be hinged (no problem), and also have the front "wall" flap down (also not a problem).

However, what sort of catches would anyone suggest to keep the flap in place when not in use. It needs to be pretty secure, to allow it to be stood on different ends, for ease of storage. Also, it'd be handy if they could be internal catches rather than external.

Apologies for the vague question. If only I could sketch worth a d*mn!

A box lock would work. The catch is hooked, so that it goes into the lid and over its mate.

Would short barrel bolts be too simple a solution? Alternatively how about two 'drawer' slam locks be keyed alike?

Edit: I was thinking that the locks would lock into the side of the box.

As Steve says, a box lock, provided, that is, if you do not mind both lid and front able to open at the same time.
About £20 for a decent one in brass.
