+1!

I now have to buy my own as SWMBO recently didn't have enough for a batch of cheese straws...as in "Why the (rude word) did you leave just nine inches on the roll??"

I’m exactly the same - was pinching a small amount of baking parchment from the kitchen until I was caught.
I now keep my own roll in the workshop. 😅

When we moved to SW France in 2002 I taught SWMBO how to use a hand axe to split kindling for our log burner. She proved to be remarkably adroit and speedy.

If you think I am going to tell her how to cook cheese straws (rich with blue cheese and a piquant touch of cayenne) you are much mistaken!

Just took a swift pic of my mdf assembly bench:

...wot's just been give a layer of beeswax polish (in the jar) and left to dry off overnight. I can be pretty certain that nothing will stick to it that can't be pinged off with an old cabinet scraper. The bench has been treated the same way. Simple (and cheap) works - Rob
