As per Title, Im after some T track or probably I track for a new router table, and I also wish to laminate the surface to give a better slide across the surface. I dont want to pay the earth for either.
Tilgear for T-track. Nowhere sells it cheap, but their's is the most reasonable.
Try a kitchen manufacturer for laminate. There is one near me and I raid his scrap pile once or twice a year, and I don't charge him for disposing of his industrial waste!
Fireback stuff has been popular only recently - mainly because people have trouble getting hold of laminate sheets. But it's really not so difficult - I got a roll years ago (10'x4') from Jewsons delivered - still have plenty left and didn't cost the earth.
T-track - yep I'd go for Woodworker's Workshop - the Incra stuff they sell is good stuff. Rutlands do it too.
Cheers
Gidon
I got my laminate from a local timber merchant, Lawsons Timber in Edinburgh. Not much use to you, I know, but the point I trying to make is that places that supply to the joinery trade can probably get it for you even if they don't keep a stock. I paid about £33 for a 10' x 4' sheet a couple of years ago. Enough for a couple of router table tops at least plus a good few offcuts for facing jigs etc.
