Of course I do.

I explain that if it is a painted finish they want then MDF gives the best results.

If they want butt hinges I use beech for the doors and frames. Hardly anyone asks for butt hinges, though.

I used to use tulipwood a lot, but I firmly believe that MDF is better.
 
Just to throw in a joiners two penneth here....

I often line my mdf face frames with sash window parting bead for the same effect, when making cupboards like these on site with minimum tooling available.

If using butt hinges in a beaded MDF face frame like this, then screwing through the parting bead gives a better fixing than screwing into the MDF bead.

As Dan has said, filling and sanding the brad holes is a pain, but essential.....and once painted (well!).....you'd be hard pushed to spot the difference between one with an applied bead, and one moulded (as in this thread).

Cabinetmaker's looking down their noses !??! I would never believe it ! :lol:
