Have just made some bacon sarnies for work tonight. Can someone please explain why I keep on breaking off the hot sizzling, crispy bit of the end of each rasher as I make them :? I have to convince myself I 'spose that I still like crispy bacon  - Rob

I was driving home a few weeks ago and there was a discussion on the radio about how bacon is now bad for you. I took note so pulled in to my local supermarket to pick some up! I bet the sale of bacon that day was above the norm across the country. There's nothing like a bacon and egg sandwich-doubly bad!

Well, so far it's been shown that the government obesity criteria aren't fixed on a firm scientific foundation, safe alcohol consumption levels aren't established on good science, global warming theory isn't based on good science, even Iraqi WMDs were justified by a dodgy dossier. These examples are only a few that I can think of off the top of my head!

"Experts" also predict that by 2019 Elvis Presley impersonators will make up a third of the world population.

It's time journalists and politicians stopped taking science at face value.

Sorry - this is a bit of a gloat - flying back, overnight from NYC, this week we were upgraded to Club World - to be served breakfast in bed with among other things a hot bacon roll - yummy!!
