that's still only about 4.5ft so should still give plenty of room to move around the saw, it's about the same as the SIP setup I had in terms of width

Nice looking workshop, I need to get some of that anit-fatigue matting in my place, it seems you still have plenty of space around the saw though. I don't have any worktops on the right hand-side of mine, so my saw will be in a similar position to yours but closer to the wall, either way, it's a nice setup, and a decent sized saw I think, more suitable than the SIP I had.

I notice that you have the same mitre-saw as me too, I think it's pretty good value for money really, I've worked mine like a dog, but it still works well.
 
I'm happy with the mitre saw, I got it on offer with a free fine cut blade and stand. The only problem I find with it is that when you pull down to cut you get a bias to the left (if your right handed).

The flooring is this stuff BB , I'd wait for it to go on sale again if I was you. It was only £10 a packet a week or so ago.
