Hi All

I know this is going to sound strange but I want to buy a tee-shirt. I've seen the exact one I want on the web... but it's in America and the supplier won't send overseas.
Would any stateside member of the forum like to help out by ordering it for me and sending it over? I'll obviously pay all expenses, in advance, the easiest method would probably be paypal if that's acceptable.

I know this is a very strange request, I just can't think of another way of doing it!

Terry,

If you don't mind waiting a while, I will be going over in March. You could order it and get it delivered to my apartment, and I could bring it back for you.

Regards

Gary

Thanks gents

I'll pm you a little later, Dave, would rather have it sooner than later but thanks for the offer Gary, if things go wrong it's nice to have a back up plan.

Thanks again

Terry

I'm travelling to the States (Illinois) 5/10 and back 21/10 if anyone needs a delivery service.

I already have a bag full of old tools I've picked up on ebay waiting for me - things like drawknives etc are much more plentiful over there.

As we can bring back up to 128 kilos weight allowance, I have a way to go yet! LOML might try and fill it with Jif peanut butter though - none better.......

I've got a lathe, sitting in storage at my Dad's in MO (That's Missouri, not Maine, Minnesota, or Montana   ). You wanna bring that back for me?

Gary, where will you be going in the US?

Dave,

I have an apartment in Breckenridge CO. I bought it sight unseen (the internet is a wonderful thing!!) last December, and went to see it for the first time the week before last! The scenary was awesome - the Aspens had just turned, but it was still high 70's in the daytime (and low 30's at night!!!).

I will be heading back out in March for a couple of weeks of skiing. I can't wait!

Regards

Gary

That sounds like fun. I'm surprised you didn't choose Minnesota for a skiing vacation spot, though. Some of the ski areas have over 400 ft long runs.

Isn't that Fargo country, Dave? That film put me off Minnesota for life!

I had to go to Kalamazoo in Michigan with work a few years back. They had a ski hill there, but they would have killed for one 400 feet long!

Looking out of the window of the 'plane on the way in, the whole state looked like someone had ironed it with a huge flatiron!!!!

It was certainly cold enough to be a ski destination though!

Gary

Nick, Fargo is in North Dakota on the other side of the Red River of the North. There might be a liitle bleed over into areas like Morehead but it doesn't reach too far. ;)

Gary, on the bright side, I can't remember the last time we had an avalanche here in Minnesota.

Not too far from where my brother lives in S.E. Wisoconsint
here is a ski hill that you can see for miles. Its a man made hill--might be an old landfill that's been covered over. I guess it works.

I don't ski. Gravity is out to get me.

Hi All

This all went a bit off-topic but that doesn't matter, I just wanted to publicly thank Dave R for his help, this has all come to a very satisfactory conclusion, hopefully for all concerned

Thanks to everyone else who offered to help, all much appreciated.
