It's nearly 2am and I just got it from the back garden. The wind just ripped an 18ft strip of felt off my roof and turned it to confetti. And it's now raining again. I made the roof with exterior grade OSB so I think it shouldn't leak. Just got done covering it with some plastic sheeting and battening it down just in case.

That's me off to the shops for some supplies then. Forget clout nails, it's glue all the way this time, damn this weather.

I live in the lee of a large hill with a wood on the top of it so that's what takes the hammering (if the wind is out of the west as it usually is) so havn't experienced much damage here at all.....level in the river in town at the water meadows is rising tho  - Rob

I pulled a tarpaulin over the summerhouse (where some of my larger machines are in storage) as a section of felt came off. I thought it was cheap felt at the time, and regret not chucking it out and buying some better stuff.

I got away lightly.. The only damage to my workshop is a couple of slight scuff marks to the wood preservative where a fifty foot section of wall+fence fell against it.

Phew!!

Got a tarp over the damaged part of the roof, hoping it's dry enough by tomorrow to get the felt glued on, that's if the wind has let up a bit.
