Anyone know who makes this Workbench Planer?

Hi, I bought this planer second hand from an auction and it works really well except that the belt that runs the wheel to extract the sawdust etc is stretched and twisted so I need to find a new one but I have no idea who makes it or where I can get a new belt from?

Any ideas? Many thanks

Work out the circumference and any car spare dealer could probably get it for you

Looks very nice and capable. That cast iron tables and fence ?. It does look so, which makes it a very good quality bit of kit.

It is great and is cast iron since it weighs a ton! The belt is really quite small, it's only 170mm long and very thin.

take it with you to a car spares or bearing / transmission shop.....
get new belt for everything that machine needs....
do it once and properly....

It looks the same as the drive belt on my cowels lathe they sell some at hobbies catalogue or try googling cowels mini lathes some spares are still available

Fairly certain it was originally sold by Sip. Have a look on Google images for Sip bench top planer and scroll down. Unfortunately, I can't quite see the model number but a call to them may solve your problem.
