Hi all,

I thought that you would be interested to know that Delcam are giving free online demos of their CADCAM (Computer-aided Design & Manufacturing) software range.

The first one is for ArtCAM Express on the 19th of March which is the basic software package aimed at people who are generally new CNC router owners and are interested in woodworking as a hobbyist or as a small or new company.

Just so that no-one thinks you might be on here purely for commercial reasons, perhaps you might tell us about your background in woodworking, perhaps with a few photos of your completed projects?

It is quite obvious that Sanda works for Artcam (Delcam).

If you want to see some stunning CADCAM software at half the price have a look at Vectric's Vcarve Pro and Aspire video's http://www.vectric.com/.

I do not work for them; just a very satisfied customer... their back up and support is second to none.

In answer to your questions.

Yes I do work for Delcam and no I am not trying to sell you anything. I am not a sales person and would not use the forum for this purpose. So why am I posting...

I know that often people like to investigate into CADCAM software without the pressure of talking to a salesperson - I for one am one of them. These demos are meant to give people the opportunity to see the software in use by someone that uses it on a daily basis. The demo will be given by one of our engineers who has used the software to create a number of toys for his daughter and he will simply give a brief demo of how it software works.

Yes Vectric do also offer an alternative CADCAM package. If you are familar with the package but not ArtCAM these demos give you the opportunity to see how the two compare in terms of functionality, ease-of use for example.

As I said, I just wanted to let you know that they are taking place.

Sandra; it sound more like a marketing alias Delcam use when responding to messages / sending out email etc
