1/16 (1.6mm) wood - HOBBYS

Hello, can anyone help, i am looking for wood sheets at 1/16" thick i have sourced some from Hobbys, but they only supply small sheets, does anyone have any ideas where may stock larger sheets, i can only seem to find them on modelling website

What about 1.5mm birch ply, it's available in 1500mm square sheets. Would be stronger than a veneer.

I'm looking at 1.5mm birch, but i'm confused about the quality, i am cutting wooden business cards so need a good quality finish, i know ply comes in grades but i cant seem to see anywhere that sells larger sheets in 1.5mm thats a good quality, been looking all afternoon :shock:

1.5mm birch ply usually has a very good finish, yes there may be a few small knots in the non certified sheets but not many and I can't see how 5 foot square isn't big enough for a business card? I wouldn't want any bigger in my pocket!

No I don't but googling on this it seems not just any ply should be lasered.

I'd contact a Laser Engraving company such as this - Hobarts who also sell ply.
