Pleasantly 'different', yet in keeping with your liking of the Japanese culture and philosophy. I like it a lot ... and its not immediately recognisable as a 'mark' piece, despite it's 'Japanese-ness'. And also good to get to see the incorporation of diverse materials to enhance the finished...

John Matey, thats absolutely great ! i love it. The wee bit sapwood... to me, its like a bit of deliberate dischord in music.. firstly it 'challenges' you, then once fully 'considered', it becomes an integral part of the piece's overall appeal. Thats a lovely piece, to my eye. :D :D...
