This is a nice bit of experimentation Mark .. I think I'd maybe have like the shoulders of the main form to blend more into the line of the lid.. but thats juts a 'refinement of concept' thing.. just to let the line 'flow' as one, if you know what I mean. But a sterling effort nonetheless ...

I like him too ... a bit 'cormorant'-esque, and as you say, its not a specific replica of a bird... he definately reminds me of a cormorant though !. He's great.. got a bit of 'rustic', a bit of 'artistic' .. he just wins on all counts. really good ! 8) 8) 8)

Frank's work is fantastic Paul .... we've seen little examples before, and met him at the bash, and his work is absolutey brilliant there. Can't honestly say there's a piece there I don't admire. ( plus, I thought he was a great guy... quiet, un-assuming, and just a thoroughly good egg )...
