Wow, that is one very clean and organised workshop. Tomorrow I must get that vacuum cleaner working! I find I go out to the workshop with every intention of having a good clear up but then get distracted when I see a piece of wood and feel I'd rather make something. Maybe next Spring!

Regards Keith

The mount of turning you have been doing you either have the most efficient extraction system in the country or you have that young 'un well trained. All these fancy workshops are making me feel very sorry for myself.

Why do other people's workshop photos show workshops that are so very clean & tidy? Most rooms in my house aren't usually that neat, and my workshop never is.

Why no dusty cobwebs hanging in out-of-reach corners?

Why no morbid areas under bits of equipment, where any dropped screws always roll (completely out of reach)?

Are workshop photos only taken after serious episodes of cleaning and tidying? Does the owner of the workshop do the cleaning, or is is sub-contracted out to youngsters wanting extra pocket money in the summer hols? :)

Nah....some workshops are permanently messy, and invaded I'm afraid

The first one is after a good clear out so you can imagine what it was like before. Now you see why I feel envious of all these posh ones

Hi Folks,

Great comments as usual.

I did do a clean up before taking photos but it usually looks like this.

I got 2 black bags of shavings from the floor today!!!

TBH though, this was a dream for my Dad and I but sadly he passed away before it was realised. The cleanliness and organisation is my way of honouring an old soldier. :(

Lee, nice workshop, well organized, the most I like is the orange color of your shop, as being a Dutchman I love orange...)))
