    Mitre saw problem

OK then there is more set on the side of the blade that the cut drifts to, lay the blade on the bench with that side up and run an oil stone along it a couple of times to take a little of the set of. Put the saw back together and test it, you may need to do this a few times until it is right, er...

    Curvy Units and Finishes

Hi elrajajo, Welcome to the forum. :D I have not made anything with curves like your attempting, but a comment on the finish, paint will not have the same scuff resistance as a laminate. There are different thickness laminates available, the thinner ones will follow tighter cures but are not...

    SIP 01478 ½" 1500w Router - opinions?

    Jet 22-44 plus sander

I think SWMBO is in for a treat then, the sip will not stop the fine sanding dust, it will go though that cloth filter bag, so an upgrade of some sort will be in order. :-k

    Thank you Richard...

Having spent a day in Richards shop I can vouch for his skill in teaching how to use the tools. :D He explained all of the things to be aware of and demonstrated the effects in slow motion. 8) I stand at my new lathe and try to remember Richards words before I start on the next cut. :)

    Using washing machine motors

I the past I have reused motors from both washing machines and tumble driers. :D If the tumble drier is a simple one that just runs in one direction then you could well be lucky, I had the back off of our one to de fluff the airways and fit a new thermostat. It is a slightly posh one that does a...
