Tablesaw: Axminster TS200 or Bosch GTS10

The TS200 is certainly looking tempting and at only 69kg it should be relatively easy to move anyway. I did wonder if anybody ever felt the 60mm depth of cut was a limitation? Also, can you remember how it was delivered? It is still snowing pretty badly around here and trying to move it in one...

Tablesaw: Axminster TS200 or Bosch GTS10

Looking for a new tablesaw (my Triton then EZ Smart system were both sold on for varying reasons). I was set on the TS200, however I am moving home next year and the portability of the GTS10 started to seem like a good idea (although its not a necessity - I only do home woodworking). I was...

Bosch GTS 10 Professional Table Saw For Sale

Given the current retail price, I was beginning to think £325 was a bit steep!!

FOR SALE: Hitachi C9U2 Circular Saw

Selling my Hitachi C9U2 saw - I was given a smaller cordless Makita recently and don't need the cutting capacity of the big Hitachi. The saw is in reasonably good condition but is used - never commercially however. The saw works perfectly, the only damage is where an old blade bit into the...

Bosch GTS 10 Professional Table Saw For Sale

Using Interparcel it seems it could be as low as £10-20. Now that isn't bad. Question for blister - does the saw come with the legstand - they are going new with the legstand for around £400 at the moment.

SOLD - EZ Smart Setup w/ Square

The saw is good and I hoped it would be able to replace my table saw but it just can't cope with 2" thick hardwood. I don't really use sheet stock much - about once a year at most. If nobody wants the full kit, I'll let you know.

AVG for me and CCleaner once a month to fix my mistakes. I do have other anti-spyware software installed but only use it if I think something is wrong.

    Pencil and paper

For me, pencil and paper is the quickest way to quickly get an idea out of my head and into a format that I won't forget. I also find it easier to deal with organic shapes and curves (although a lot of my design involves square, chunkier furniture). Where SU/CAD comes in, for me, is in...

    Pencil and paper

I would say splitting the forums would result in less traffic for both. As others have said, there's nothing to stop people posting about design issues rather than CAD/SU issues but users obviously want/need to discuss SU and CAD.

    Triton on rails

Definitely the larger base. I have a Hitachi C9U2 (also a 9 1/4" saw) and have had the Triton - the Triton was a much heavier beast and the Hitachi needs the large base. Also, I think plenty of saws can handle cutting straight (like my Hitachi).

Fox F46-251 Midi Lathe , near new !!! now sold

The lathe is £169 at Rutlands. Even in as new condition, I wouldn't pay over £120 for the lathe alone as a second hand purchase. With the chuck, and at £150, I would agree you may get interest, but not at £200.

Evening Class - Something to show this time

So my second week of evening class is now over and I actually have something I'm willing to show people!!! Even if SWMBO had to be told three times what it was. It's my first fully finished turning - I'm just wish I'd bought a lathe now instead of my EZ smart!!! :(

    Wine

In my old job (as a chaffeur in France) I tasted some wines that sold for almost £100 a bottle. It did taste better than a £4 bottle but not 25 times better (at least not to my palate...)

    trend or powercap or what?

Out of interest - what advantage do these two have over a normal dust mask with replaceable filters and a pair of goggles or safety specs? I would be interested as I use a 3M 7503 reusable mask with normal specs which costs me about £25 total. I've always looked at the Trend (amongst others)...

Recommend me a good Sliding Mitre Saw or even not sliding

For a new mitre saw at under £200 - I would go non-sliding. If you look second hand though you will find a good slider at that price. It may just take a few weeks of watching EBay and the like.

    Pencil and paper

Sketch Up is more than capable of photoreal renderings - given the right plugins. And given the ease of use and the low cost compared to AutoCad/3DS Max/Solidworks etc. I think it allows everyone to start using their PC's to design their woodworking.
