    how's about this for service?

I've bought a few bits from Rutlands and never once had an issue. Yandles I've bought from twice - once I cancelled the order after they called to say it was going to take ages. The second time they didn't call and I ended up calling them and then it still took ages yet their reputation appears...

    Brusso Hinges

Interesting stuff! I guess the precision required to get the quality required for the size of hinge is where the costs comes from. I wonder if they reject 8 out of every 10 they manufacture? That was why plasma TV's were so expensive initially, they would throw away so many panels because of...

    KATSU router/trimmer

I don't think the trend cutter sets are too badly priced. I would also say that you should be cautious about cheap cutters. You really don't want a bit of cutter flying off at 12,000 rpm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It really is another world, isn't it?

I do find it frustrating when our government, political parties and institutions that are publicly funded don't support British industry. I know there are times when they can't etc but for example the recent EU leaflet that everyone got - it was printed in Germany! We were world leaders in...

    Festool Vac voucher

Having been recently deciding between the Of1010 and the 1400 I did think it was odd that the 1010 had an oval shape connection for the dust extraction. I'm so impressed with the dust extraction on the 1400. I did some round over routing outside with no extraction and there was loads of dust...

    how's about this for service?

I posted elsewhere recently, it's not the fact that you had a problem(these things happen) it's how you deal with it that is important. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What wood glue do you use? (merged)

I use titebond as well. Mainly 1 for indoor use. I also have 2 but never used 3, but I would if I was doing something for outside. I don't really know why I use it over any other brand, probably because Axminster sell it so I pick it up in there as and when I need it. It seems to work well so...

    New Bandsaw for £10!

That's good to hear as I bought a 1/4 blade as well from tuff saws and I also bought a blade from Acminster with the rear teeth for tighter curves - not sure about that but we'll see how it goes. Not got my blade changes down to anything like 5 minutes yet! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What tool did you buy today?

    TV

Slightly off topic my Dad and Mum had prepaid for their funerals and when we lost dad a little while ago I was sat with mum and the undertaker and he asked what type of coffin we wanted and mum said a cardboard one. I only found out then that they had decided they didn't see the point in wasting...

    Bosch impact driver

If you want a cheap put powerful impact driver then I believe that the Ryobi is the most powerful (Torques) on the market. It is certainly more powerful than the latest Makita. I read an article about the Makita being the most powerful impact driver so I thought I'd see how far behind the Ryobi...

    hiding scrap metal

There does seem to have been an under current on this thread with regards to benefits. I'll be open, I'm a higher rate tax payer and earn more than average, I have a nice house and do ok. Well I consider it ok others would say I do very well, some others would say not so well. It's all about...

    Festool Vac voucher

I was very reluctant to buy a Festool hose at £60 or so. However what I constantly find with Festool is that the kit is just really well thought out. Even the hose is brilliant as the connector is rubber not plastic and it's the perfect size to go into or on the outside of most tools. Sent...
