best place for cheap replacement kitchen doors?

As per the title, can anyone advise? We want to brighten up the kitchen, but don't want to spend a fortune on this house. I've seen some places that sell them for approx. £9 each trae, but it jumps to £30 each retail. I don't care if they're laminate or whatever, it's just to smarten things up...

    Potassium permanganate

I appreciate that as you're now on a course of pills that you've probably seen the doc. However, the reason I mention it is I had a stubborn bout of what I thought was athletes foot. No off-the-shelf remedy would shift it. It turns out I had eczema, and the correct cream cleared it up in no...

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

Apologies if this is a thread hi-jack, but we're considering getting a burner for the living room. The chimney is there, but hasn't been used recently (if ever!). Has anyone had issues in recommissioning chimneys? Is running a steel flue pipe all the way up a viable option? Safety is my...

Getting straight cuts on MDF boards (no table saw)

+1 for the circular saw & straight edge method. I appreciate you don;t own one, but it's a handy way of making neat cuts in sheet material. I got mine cheap in the clearance sale from Argos (and I'm not afraid to admit it!) to cut our new worktops. Just bear in mind what's on the other side of...

    knives/cutlery

I've been looking, but all the ones I've seen are either poorer quality, or v expensive. If you find any, please share, but what I'm doing is buying old bone (or bone-alike) handled cutlery, with the intention of cutting off the old, and replacing with wood.

    Skyfall

Saw this last night, and loved it. I had enjoyed Casino Royale, thought QOS was dull, but this one is vintage Bond. I appreciate the first of Craig's were a re-boot, and so were stand-alones, but I really enjoyed the references in Skyfall to the older Bond films.

    Loudspeaker builders/repairers - help!

I haven't bought from them for a while (not a reflection on them, I just haven't needed to), but Richer Sounds used to be pretty good for seperates.

ALERT: 50 years of Bond cars - Top Gear 9pm tonight (Monday)

What a fantastic prog, I didn't want the hour to end! Like or loathe Hammond, his keen interest in the subject was undeniable. Great stuff.

How Britain Worked - Guy Martin

Missed the first half of last night, but the 2nd half was great. Was v impressed with that enormous (18"? 24"?) water-driven saw. And that bandsaw cut through that whacking great chunk with no apparent effort. I want one! Will pass on the wooden bicycle, tho!

What was the last film you watched and

...but if he were a bigger star, he wouldn;t have to pay the bills by doing tosh like that  Re Kill Bill - IMO, Tarantino produced one great film (Res. Dogs), two entertaining films (Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown). Everything else has been increasingly childish and unpleasant.

p.s. yes, Gattaca is great. I love the futuristic police cars (rover P6s, from memory)

What was the last film you watched and

GPB is an excellent film. Got it on DVD recently, having not seen it for years. John Cusack should be a bigger star, IMO. Can happily admit/confess to having watched Black Swan (although it was the better half's choice). Natalie Portman's performance is first-rate. The last film I watched -...

How Britain Worked - Guy Martin

Hi I caught this by accident, and enjoyed. Agreed, the narrowboat program needed speeding up a bit, but the train prog was v good. Actual footage of them casting white metal bearings, etc, rather than simply saying they've done something and moving on to the next bit.
