    ..........

Great ideas Brian and wonderful for you to start the thread with some links. I am abouit to try some resin stuff and use different items to inlay behind clear resins. Someone made a complete kitchen floor with resin on top and that idea could be incorporated into wooden items. Keep up the good...

    Slightly Off Topic - Boxes

Nice boxes Phill. The 1/4" will be fine but I also use a 1/8" from Tuffsaw. However, dont expect to make any profit from boxes but it does help to pay for the nice wood. Malcolm

    Dormouse Intarsia

Well done Phill. I looked at the finished photo and tried to work out how 23 bits were made up, but couldn't until I saw the pattern. It comes off well. Malcolm

Wood worms on spalted beech - discard?

Those exit holes look quite large. I had a few in one bit of wood but exit holes much smaller, about half the size of yours. I discarded the wood as it wasn't too large. Once treated, you could enlarge the hole lengthways slightly, fill with dark filler and touch up with a fine black marker...

Lidl Delta Sander - anyone bought one?

Not that one, but similar design is the Bosch GDA 280E which I have. It is very good with several attachements including flat and round 'fingers'. When I use it a lot, I string up a wire/long bungee cord above and across the bench with a bungee cord hooked on down to the sander. It takes the...

    Bandsaw Guide Broken

Thanks. That's an obvious suggestion, although I dont think I put any more pressure on it than usual. Being a cast item it could go at any time. Hope you are fit and well. Not seen you around but dont forget the coffee/tea is always on! Malcolm

    Bandsaw Guide Broken

Just wondered if anyone else has had the top guide on the Record BS400 break. THis morning I was changing a blade and on tightening the guide, the flange parted. Not a problem to get it replaced with the 5 year guarantee, but it made me wonder if anyone else had had that problem with the...

    bandsaw owners dream

Not sure how deep you want to rip, but I have ripped a 6" plank with my 1/8" blade. Very slowly but it worked well. It would have been a lot quicker by changing blades, but thought I would give it a go and it was happy on the Carter stabilizer which is only held at the back of the blade at the...

    bandsaw owners dream

I saw this a few days ago and thought that there is no need for a pin to correct drift. If the bandsaw is set up correctly there is no drift. It could be helpful for those who cant get their bandsaw orking correctly, or don't want to bother trying to correct problems
