    Ipe/teak in-shower grating/duckboards?

I made a bamboo duckboard from left over flooring as a step out of the shower bath mat type thing. I tried leaving it natural after reading it could fare well being left bare. It looked alright but the underside began to mould slightly. I've now given it a two pack varnish type finish and it's...

    Sikkens over Osmo uv

Custards advice is sound. I'd be a little hesitant about putting any finish on top of oil. Helplines I've rang in the past have surprised me with their geekyness and helpfulness. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Bargain.

I witnessed something similar last weekend. A guy was eyeing up a two speed old hand drill........that his wife would like if it were made into a lamp [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Bandsaw TPI help needed

Like anyone they aren't 100% perfect but by God does he make up for it with his customer service. Just reordering some blades for my bandsaws and noticed the last one was bought in 2017. I've given that m42 blade some stick ! Still cuts like a hot knife through butter just drifts a bit. Still...

Heavy lifting just got much easier.

The scaffold tube is a great idea. Just having a metre of play would help with positioning over the bench. D did you use exhaust clamps to fit to the tube ? Does it slide well ? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Spot on,sapele. It's in aluminium primer now awaiting the next few licks of paint. A bit hush hush though. This is the old door but just repaired if you know what I mean........[WINKING FACE] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Heavy lifting just got much easier.

The mortices are 2-3....realistically 4mm wider on the outer edge. I usually set the haunch depth on the morticer then use the same depth setting for my wedges- a bit like you though, that's how I was taught. Do you need to chop the slope accurately to match your wedge then ? Sent from my...

    Gas forklift bottle level indicator

It's been unreliable for so long I still question why it could be conking out. Welcome to the forum by the way ! I had a bit of an engineering day today. The replacement bottle is coming on Wednesday so today was the last chance I'd have to mark the empty level on the scales. If the needles...

Plastic storage boxes for screws etc.

I was faced with a similar issue for all my odds and ends. Some 3mm MDF with slots in did the trick (same width as saw blade) Really quick to do if you've already got drawers. Leaving out a division allows for longer stuff. Not quite what you were after but its quick and cheap. 'Really useful...

That's why I do. Just check first that the blade doesn't rub against anything!!!! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
