This chaps a Brit and is good for beginners. He certainly goes into immense detail on the "how" and he's a bit of a camera buff so his photography and indeed all production values are excellent. The only snag is he's a complete Festool nut.

+1 for Peter Parfitt, his presentation style is brilliant
Being a bit of a Festool nut myself I'm also a big fan of HalfInchShy
Between the two of them they cover the 'Track saw and Domino' style of woodworking very comprehensively
Not going to suit the traditionalist but great for tool junkies like me

He's a bit cavalier on safety mind. he has also put a saw-blade in backwards, and wondered why it wouldn't cut. Unless he posted that one on 'All Fools' day? 8)

I stumbled across Peter last night, great stuff........ I'm fairly new to woodworking but have been into DIY for 20 years so have picked up various bits and pieces over the years.

I've always tried to buy the best tool for the job and have tried to stay away from the own brand performance power/McKellar/Ferm stuff, that's not to say I haven't got any of those brand tools, I have and they fill a gap. Now that I've come across this forum and all these youtube video's I'm suddenly looking at Axminster/Festool/Triton etc and it's all stuff I want to get (do they call it tool envy?)

Between Steve Ramsey, Peter Parfit, Paul Sellars, Steve M, Norm et al I think I'll stumble through the long list of things I want to make and do and upgrade my tools along the way. I picked up a TRA001 & axminster router table (that I believe has made it's way around the forum) the other day that I'm super excited to start using..... anyway.... I digress.....

New Brit workshop https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYwsgA-ZhDGHUCb4YFG00xQ is one I'll be watching quite a lot of and I suppose I'll have to buy some more DVD's from www.workshopessentials.com as I've exhausted all the content that is currently on youtube

I find David Barron's YouTube videos really easy to watch and have picked up a lot of tips, especially around dovetailing.
In fact I've just adapted 2 old Robert Sorby chisels for dovetailing after watching David's video on chisel techniques - as I couldn't afford a Blue Spruce or Ashley Isles one.
Worth a look.

One i found probably the most useful youtube vid was from a young lad, who did a series of short videos on making screw threads from scratch for a school project. Itgoes into the how in a very good clear way. including the explanations of the maths invovled. he also demonsrates very well the method of making and includes his mistakes and explains why he choose the routes that he did. it can be found here:

Another fan of Peter Parfitt here. He's also very approachable. I've emailed him a few times and had great replies.

+1

Great videos. I love his style and as others have said they are really nicely filmed and edited. Plus, he is a genuinely helpful guy who has also responded promptly and helpfully to emails I have sent him.
