I know this topic comes up every now & then and rarely with a widely acceptable answer for hobby type workshops.

Whilst browsing another forum which is generally more metalwork biassed, I spotted the following:-

Tony Wood at Walker Midgely ( 0114 2502770 ) is the chap to sort things out and very quickly.

I have no commercial connection and have no idea of the terms/rates bit it might just help someone.

I have my insurance with More Than and they said tools in the workshop were covered as long as no single item exceeded £1800. The ones that do, need to be recorded specifically on the policy to be covered.
