............antee if years ago we were neighbours and I’d said I can’t sharpen my chisels correctly you would of shown me how enough times for me to get it but alas I’m self taught and I’ve only ever achieved a sharp chisel using jigs . I keep them sharp most times but as said time and other things can get in the way -but sit in front of the tv with my table , chisels and a good coffee and off we go a few mins to get the edge back and a couple more grades to refine the edge and all done ..oh btw I do use a steel for my knives .
How to edit;
First you reply to a post by clicking on "Reply" which quotes the full text in a box.
I just put a line break here in your quoted text, which opens up a space, and typed in this comment.
I just deleted a random selection of the above and typed in a few dots to show where I'd cut.
Edit I’m not sure how you do this quote thingy but not to worry
and can type anything below

I try that , celebrating my moms 80th birthday in the care home today so bit busy ..

My 80th last month. I'm older than your mum but still at home. Well I think I am but who knows?:unsure:
Say happy birthday to her from me.
As long as you still have your faculties then you will always be better at home , the day you recommend a honing jig or anything less than 2 push sticks I will know you are not well 🫣🫣🫣 happy birthday to you too ..
