Do the battens need to pull out? How about fixed - glued/screwed battens and use these or similar?

Thanks, but not sure I would trust the weight if the well was lent on. Anyway, that would mean four brackets and a lot more packing out. I think if I can get the post brackets in a smaller size, then that would be good, otherwise, as you said, make them, but would rather but a few for accuracy and simplicity of fixing.

What part of Brum are you in Carl?
