Mini table top saw??

Hi, I’m hoping I can get some advice please? I’m looking for a small/mini table top saw like the proxxon ks 230. I bought a cheap thing off Amazon (which I’m now returning)!
I want to be able to cut at least 1cm thick wood but dont Want a massive machine as it’s only for crafting. I looked into the Proxxon but after watching videos and reading a few reviews it doesn’t seem very good? Can anyone suggest anything that would fit my needs?

What are you cutting ?
Are you ripping lengths of real wood ?
How long ? Hard or soft ?
Cross cutting them ?

Or sheet like ply or mdf ?
What length and width do you buy that in ?

This all has a huge bearing on what is a good tool for the job or a totally stupid suggestion.
Tell us much more about your projects.

But for a very slightly different use it might be a 12v cordless mini saw....

Unless you are ripping really long lengths then you are in hand saw territory. If accuracy is required one of these.

I have zero experience with very small table saws but the very small table they have would make for awkward working. I did look at a review of the 230 you mentioned and apart from the guy doing it knowing nothing about table saw safety it is obvious that saw will never rip 1'' timber. I guess cutting balsa for models would be about it. It is a functioning table saw but is limited by its size. Reading the manual for any saw will give an idea of what they can safely do.
Another option may be a small bandsaw say a 10 inch would do what you need and be way more versatile.

I would like the cuts to be fairly accurate and straight without too much effort
Ive tried using just a mini hacksaw and a mitre box but the results weren’t that great as the slits in the box were too wide for my saw so it wobbled about maybe I just need a better saw and box but there’s so many to choose from? I’ve read Japanese saws are good?

I think im leaning more towards a better mitre box and saw now so if anyone can suggest some good ones?

For the money These are really good, nice stiff blade, comfortable to hold, accurate cuts. They aren't a high end tool by any means, but they're my go-to for everyday quick cuts that meet a need.

The hand miter saw I linked is very accurate. There are a few brands and all do a similar job. I made a whole set of kitchen cupboard doors about 40 years ago when money was tight with one very similar to this.
Draper 88192 550 mm Precision Mitre Saw , Blue : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools
They dont require a great skill level and after little a bit of practice you soon get the hang of it. I still drag it out now and then for small jobs.

Another positive comment for this saw - I've had one for probably 35 years - cuts neatly and accurately - and although it knackers the blade it can be used to cut thin tiles!
