Turning MDF into gold in a northern town
Here's a nice job I've been helping my mate Phil with. He's the guy I share a workshop with. He has to take most of the credit for this but I thought it deserved a wider audience.

Very nice - fits in very well with the room.

Really nice Dan - make sure you pass all the glowing comments onto Phil as well

Can I ask what finish you used on the MDF? Is it just gloss/satin paint (as implied by one of the photo's? Or did you spray the units up first? I only ask as I am doing something similair at home in our conservatory, and have been thinking about the paint finish.

Cheers

Hi Karl,

I can't remember if you met Phil when you popped in at the workshop.

Yes, I'll show him the thread. He might even join up!

The MDF (and pine skirting and cornice) were sprayed with two coats of white AC primer and a coat of AC paint in the right colour in the workshop, followed by a coat of acrylic eggshell applied by brush on site.

Cheers
Dan
