Sue has started raiding my stock for burnable items, these are three
of her latest works.

Sycamore bowl, 11" diameter.

Two vases in pear, 6 1/2" and 9 1/2" tall

It's easy to just look at these as pieces of work, but this is very, very clever. Anyone who's tried producing sketches or paintings on a prepared surface, with stable tools, will know what I mean.

No pressure on keeping the quality of the stock up then Pete, how you going to fit in rustic with a big enough area for Sue to apply a proper enhancement? :p

Beautiful work Sue, great control of the pyro. =D>

Sue is obviously a very talented Lady.

Wonderful to look at Pete, thanks for posting them The last weedpot is stunning - the amount of detail, and done with a pyro........brilliant.

Thanks everyone. Just shown Sue the comments, she is one of those people who can never see how skillful or talented she actually is so it's really good for her to see what you all think. Only problem now is that I have to keep making things form her to burn instead of selling them as blanks.

Superb looking pieces Mrs B.
You will have post more if ever a pyro section is formed and start giving us tips.
In fact you will have to become a member yourself if Pete will allow it of course

I'll keep posting her work if that's OK as it does her good to get the feedback. As far as having her own account...computers and her are like oil and water, she basically doesn't like them (that's my polite way of putting it  ) Doesn't stop her reading my posts though

OK here's a few more. She has been going through my boxes and digging out things I had forgotten had and much as I hate to say it, improving them

She's dead chuffed with the feedback so thanks for that everyone.

Lovely work there Sue, HTH do you manage to hold and pyro curved surfaces at the same time  I just tried to burn on the side of a small hollow form and nearly threw the ruddy thing out the window :?

Funny you should ask, we were just talking about that, she was thinking of doing it on the table (she has been doing it sat on the settee at the moment) but realised that it would be awkward for those curved pieces as she holds them resting in between her legs so I am gong to make up a stand like a chainsaw stand out of heavy foam for her to see if that works.

Hi Pete
I`ve been told to use a large towel to hold the piece for burning which helps..... sort of but I guess its one of those things you get used to :)

She's gone to bed but I'll see if I can get her to tell you herself how she holds the things. Watching her she makes it look simple though I'm blowed if I'd know where to start

I asked her how she held the round bits and she just laughed and said she juggled with her legs, whatever that means.
