I was looking at table saws and SIP do a 10 inch one for £2000, it looks the same as the Axminster 10 inch which is £1500. Same with their 12 inch version, £2500 compared to the Axi version for £2000. How comes they are £500 more? Never thought SIP were a premium brand

Both look like the same saws but in different paint jobs?
I agree on that, but could have differences internally, even if made in same factory.
Not saying they are different, just can't tell from photo.
The Laguna is another option.

Thanks, seems ITech do a 12 inch model 01446 for £2000 and SIP also do a 01446 model for £2500? Same model number?

Ive got the Axminster AW254TS, hobby rated 10" machine and its solid. great build quality. If i had extra cash i wouldn't hesitate to get the Axminster Pro AP254SB.

I bought a new Axminster Trade saw, AT254SB about five years ago for £900.00. Excellent machine. After setting it up I have not had to make any adjustments since. Bullet proof as stated above. It cuts absolutely straight, mitre fence the same. According to their web site they don't offer this saw any more. The replacement is way more expensive than £900.00. SIP make an identical saw. I would guess just as accurate as the Axminster brand.
