Breaking the habit of a lifetime, I am going to the Ally Pally show a week tomorrow. Is anyone else going?

It would be nice to meet up with one or two from the forum.............so which day are you going, and how do forum members recognise each other (carnation in the lapel, folded Times under the elbow?)??!

I have just confirmed Friday with my buddy.......so I'll see you there :D

Mike

I think I'll have to have a peek in at that this year, especially since I missed it last year (and the year before  ).

Where's everyone meeting then?

Well, if Philly has a stand I guess it would be rude not to meet there.........but I don't know if he has or not.

Mike

Is it this friday? Does it cost to enter? Am I going to be floded with promotion people and such like? Not a question Google can't answer but I just cannot be 'bovard', know whata i a meana?

It's been pretty poor last couple of years, only took about 15 mins to walk round and see everything, so will give it a miss I think.

The entrance fee (£10 or £12 I think?) plus the travel expenses to get there, and the limited number of stalls, mean it's not a patch on D&M or Yandles in my view, but hope those that are going enjoy it. Meeting up wih buddies is definately the best bit !

Cheers, Paul :D

Tom will be easy to spot, he'll have the laptop under the arm with a wifi connection to UKW :)

You don't know how true that is.....

Sorry - not going to this one. I've been for the last three years and its got worse year by year. I'd like to think that it would be much improved this year - hope so.

I'll be at the Yandles show in April, though.

Have fun,
Philly :D

I've been tempted in the past but others have said that there's not a lot doing so it's another 'nil points' :( - Rob

Mike,
I'm going on Friday as I have already said, and recognise me by my Two Bit Planers badge,(Ihave one for you too),
The walk up the hill is a bit much for us older souls, so my mate and I always have a taxi from the station, £5:00 and usually share the cost with someone else.
Who said it only took 15 minutes to see? I've been to the show every year for 17 or 18 years and never get bored, as our travelling takes so long, we go early afternoon so that when we get back to Kings Cross we can get a good meal before starting the long journey home.
Derek.

We'll be there, gluttons for punishment that we are, feel free to use the area near our stand as a metting point. Normal form is midday each day.

There's new people organising the show this year (same company with a different name but different individuals) so we'll see what happens...

Don't forget your ticket this year is valid for all three days in case you haven't had enough after one day!

Stuff has come up and I can't make it now. I'll have two tickets to sell for a reasonable price (i'd really like to make some of the money back)

I live in Northants, and work in London if someone wants to collect, but I'm happy to post.

PM me if your interested
