I must admit I was/am very tempted by Rutlands offer on the Fox Morticer with £50 off, IMO it represents excellent value. However it would lead to more problems where will I put it etc, etc. I may also move soon so I would probably have to keep the packaging and a morticer could be a treat for the new workshop.
I therefore still have a need to cut some mortices in 2x4 to make a new stand for the drill press. I have a Dewalt 625, a plunge bar and two fences so this will be the weapon of choice.
My question therefore is which bit. I know Trend do a suitable mortice bit, but will I be better off using a spiral bit?
If so which bit and what manufacturer does the forum recommend?
Thanks in advance.
Gary
