I’m in the market for an air pop rivet gun and there seems to be quite a wide spread of prices.

It won’t get daily use, but will be used monthly. I’d like it to last a lifetime.

I have seen a few cheap ones on amazon for around £40, I can afford to spend more but do I need to?

the Clarke CAT151 is £60 and looks similar to the amazon cheap ones. It seems to receive good reviews.

then there are a few in the £100+ market.

if one was available, I’d always prefer to go second hand but there doesn’t seem to be a huge choice on eBay.

thanks in advance :)

I have the Clarke one. rarely used but when I need to rivet 300 times in a row it's perfect.
it replaced a drill driven unit that worked great but was slow.

I've got the Clarke (or possibly sealy) one and it has been fine. I haven't used it for a while but it got a lot of use when I built a kit car and it worked very well. If you have a lot of rivets to do then they're a god send.
