A good router table is surley the most versitile machine. You can do dado's, rebates, round edges and make decorative mouldings, raise panels, do mortices, tennons hell you can even joint an edge with the fence adjusted correctly and even rip if the router has the power and you have the patience. Tongue and groove, sliding dovetails and by adding simple jigs use pin routing to make copy components the list is endless.
