Hi all, I laid 10mm laminate in the hall and living room with gold vapor underlay. I specifically got this thickness because my mum's carers use equipment a lot and need it to last. Reason for laying laminate was to keep house warmer which it has done.
However, the adjoining room to the hall which is my mum's bedroom, still has floorboards and I want to laminate it too, but don't feel it's neccesary to get 10mm for this room and hope to get more affordable stuff. Is there any way of laying something first, to bring the height up before laying a 6 or 7 mm laminate that brings total height to adjoining 10mm laminate?
