About 30 years ago, my car was stolen from a car park. A very helpful man said he'd seen the men who took it, and had written down the type of car they were in, and the registration number. He then gave me a piece of paper on which he'd written "Wight Capri", which had a certain charm to it, seeing as how they are both islands. The registration he'd written down, though, was for my car, which I already new, and by some freak of memory, I can still remember. It was BRK 484T.

Yes and no. I got a call from the police a couple of weeks later. They said my car had been left outside a school entrance on the zig-zag lines next to a zebra crossing, and could I go and move it. By the time I got there all I could find were some fragments of broken glass. The school caretaker told me that it had been stripped bare, and the council had removed it. All of which has nothing to do with the IOW...

I was travelling with my son last month in his car when we happened to pass a B&B which was named SEA VIEW.

As we were on the outskirts of Chorley at the time, I can only assume they must have had a bloody long ladder. :lol:

Well the sight you all missed was the 8 C47 Dakota's trundling over my workshop on their way back from Normandy this afternoon, they flew over at about 300' a wonderful sight and the sound was awsome. The Harvard and the Spitfire were quite nice, but Spit's are quite frequent visitors as they build them down the road.
