I have had a Dakota Deluxe Router Table ,for a while now,I have never got around to using it,as I am only now able to buy a router,I want to make Small Jewellery Boxes, with contrasting corner joints, and I want to make some Boxes, for Pens that I make. What Router, would fit in neatly on my Router Table, and would I be better just to pay the extra money for a up market router, that is reliable? I would like a Router, that will fit in ,with the plate on my table, without much adjustments to be done.

Any router would do, whatever you get you'll have to drill suitable mounting holes in the blank plate, and for the jobs you describe even a small 600w one will suffice.

But you never know what's around the corner so it's probably best to get something with more power (say 1400w-2200w).

I have Triton in my table and have been very pleased with it. It's done a great deal of work and still works good as new. The "above the table height" adjustment is a boon and, with various collet assemblies, will take all router cutter shank sizes. It has a huge "plunge" movement so raises well off the table for easy cutter/collet changes.

The range of routers on the market is vast and each will have their own favourites but that's mine :)

I have seen a Triton JOF001 for sale at a Discounted price what is the general opinion on this router.

The JOF001 is the small 1000W one that doesn't feature the full height adjust mechanisms of its bigger siblings. I'm sure it's a great router, but for table use I would look to one of its bigger brothers.
