Well I wont list everything because hardly any of it will actually get made.

I am currently finishing he belated xmas presents: namely a clock, a stool and a coffee table. Then I want to concentrate on a very special jewellery box for my finance's wedding present for the big day in Feb.

When they are done I want to make a whole load of drawers for my workshop and then an outfeed table with router table built in. I also need a permanent roll-around base for my bobbin sander.

Then there's that Toy Box that I've been meaning to get round to for nearly a year now

It goes on and on and on.

pipper..........there I was thinking I had an original idea!!!
Mike

Sorry to ruin your year!!

I saw his work a while ago on tv when he was exhibiting in China - your picture reminded me about him.

I'd still like to see how your piece turns out?

.

well ive heard of marrying for money .... :D

Tho spelling aside thats a damn fine plan, I may do likewise (for my fiancee i mean ;) I marry at the end of march), it will have to be round though as i've not got time to master the making of small square boxes.

That was a case of 2 errors. My bad spelling and Firefox also getting it wrong. ;)

I might need some help with my jewelery box as I really want it to be very special and individual but that doesn't exactly match my skill level.

well i know that feeling, but unless you want to turn it I am so not the man for the job. ;) Still i'm sure there is someone on here with the skills who'd be happy to help.

I'm sure there plenty of opinion to be found on the forum about Jewellery boxes when you get your basic design sorted. Quite a few people have done them.

Cheers, Ed

Just done one (my first and pics on here) and about to start my second, some aspects will be much simpler but others will be far more complex - hence the purchase of the convex spokeshave. Hopefully will keep the errors down to a sub-Wizer level

I have made a collection of bookmarks of boxes that have been posted on this forum since it started and one day I'll get round to posting it.

Hi,

Bed! I forgot that I was making a new base for ours, our existing one creaks and the draws fowl the bedside tables, apart from that its perfect now we have a memory foam mattress.

Pete

Apart from lots of money!!! Well I hope! Erm.... got a bed headboard I want to make for myself, the timbers all planed up to size, just need to get crackin with it!

I've just finished the first project of the year - a bigger toy box for all the kids toys. Actually started it a few days ago, so not sure if it counts as an '09 project....

On the list (for home) - a couple book cases, a cabinet of some description for the audio equipment, matching mirror frames, fitted wardrobes and matching side tables and chest of draws ( ) - hopefully in ABW if funds permit.

For the workshop - a nice shelving display for my planes. It won't be glass fronted though - I will need to actually get access to them for use

Cheers

Karl

Some projects for early this year.

Desktop filing cabinet - already in progress (with pictures)
Bathroom cabinets - 4 in total - 2 wall cabinets, a vanity and a Norm style bevelled glass cabinet.
Several bowls
Picture frames

Could be busy :D

Bob

Just thought of one. A stool for the workshop. I saw one at Blister's which was a nice fold up affair, But I have an idea (think I saw it on here) to make a kind of piano stool affair.

I am going to finish (which requires me to start) a dining suite in ABW. I bought the wood 11 years ago! I also drew some plans. Anyway I think the wood should have aclimatised by now so intend to start once I get a few other projects out of my shop. This is sounding too much like a new years resolution for my liking. If it happens I will post some pics!

Happy new year to one and all

I've just been going through the orders I've got for the next 6- 8 months.

Yikes!

1. Fitted Bedroom in painted MDF
2. Fitted Bedroom in Pippy Oak
3. Pair of oak alcove units
4. Desk & Bookcase in painted MDF with oak top
5. 3 alcove units in painted MDF
6. Kitchen larder unit in oak
7. Kitchen island in painted tulipwood & MDF
8. Hall Cupboard & Bookcase in teak
9. Kitchen larder unit in painted beech & MDF
10. Bookcase with cupboard in mahogany
11. Oak chest of drawers
12. Full fitted kitchen & utility room in painted tulipwood & MDF
13. Oak cloakroom cabinet

Considering that there is 10 weeks work in the kitchen alone I've got my work cut out!

As well as all this I've promised Mrs T that I will convert the loft into a bedroom by the summer and that we'll have a new kitchen by Christmas.

I think you might be seeing a little less of me on here...

Cheers

 Is a lot of that coming via your website dan?

Around 50% of my work comes from my website.

Around 30% is recommendations or repeat business, and 20% comes from people calling in at the workshop having seen my 'A' board sign on the pavement outside.

My advertising budget is not excessive!

Cheers

Happy NEW YEAR everyone

For 2009 I plan to FINISH
Duck punt build,
Oak console table (made legs 2 years ago!)
Glueing dining chairs back together again (why can't they sit still)
Computer desk.
Startrite combo machine (not strictly ww but will help above get done)
Then maybe:
Outfeed/assembly table
Dressing table for daughter
Fitted wardrobes
ETC....

Hoping 2009 is longer than the last few Years.

My plan was to build this in Ireland, but as the A*rse dropped out of the pound against the Euro I am looking at a 45% increase.... Does anyone have any ideas about robbing banks, not in the UK as they don't have any money 8)
