I personally see no point in having a separate section for sharpening, it would still get inflated debates dragging on endlessly churning out the same dogmatic "my methods better than yours" input from a small group of people.tobytools":33kqik3f said:I agree with the search function but if your new to the forum and don't know how to search ect wouldn't a better place be in the sharpening chat room?
I seem to have rattled a few cages and that wasn't my intension.
When these debates drone on people get fed up and this is the solution surely?
Then again maby it's become habit to procrastinate with these topics either way I'll loose no sleep

Scrap the forum,
The link seems easier so this thread wasn't a waste of time, we're getting some where.
I'll share my method of sharpening if others do, I'm relatively new and I remember asking sharpening question and I was a bit over whelmed with opinions and the like,
So should we like the tool review by Andy T, share our ways, what we use ect so some one asking questions can check out diffrent peoples view and take what they want from it.
Each to their own

What is needed is a way to drive people to use the search function before posting, thus reducing the amount of duplicate questions and the ensuing debates.
