Velux window leak

Have leak in velux window,flashing was changed 6 yrs ago! Stain inside right hand lower corner,butdry on outsideof that point,no rotting outside either,windows over 10 yrs old! Leak is higher above where stain is! Velux say,from photos given,that they can't see a problem,but the screws may be too tight where butyl is on frame! Pitch is17°
Shower me with your opinions!

My opinion would be to get a specialist roofer in to check it out, if possible the same chap who put it in to start with. You've got little chance of getting it sorted when no-one on here can see the problem first hand - way too many variables.

Agree with @Cobbs more info reqd, pictures from inside and outside if safe ( maybe a video via a selfi stick ,, the water could be getting in way above the window ,, could even be condensation from inside the roof . Definitely a job for a roofer ..but you can investigate the basics - I take it this is a attic conversion of some type of..

It's in a kitchen,you may be able to see a mark in side on right hand corner of photos,but,there's no sign of damp or wet in corner itself either inside or out! Flashing is still under warranty!

I can't see anything in those pictures I'm afraid. Are you sure it's not condensation? Could it just be staining? If there's no sign of damp, what makes you think the Velux is letting in water? If there is damp, it may still not be the Velux at fault, water can track a very long way on a roof, especially if it's butyl or similar, even uphill. As before, call in a specialist.

Yes,it's hard to see in photos,but there is staining at the corner facing towards you,even see outline of a mushroom stud in the plaster! I have had water on my table above where this window is!

I had exactly the same issue, I couldn’t find it until the window had rotted sufficiently that a blind man could find it. I m guessing it’s the same thing jus5 at a much earlier stage. I also had slight stain8n* at the corners. Anyway, this is a thread on me taking it apart, repairing it and popping it back together. Not very difficult, and with it being something new, enjoyable. I’d wait for the warmer weather.

I came to say much the same as Cobbs in that could it be condensation?

In the last week after the change in weather from cold to warm and wet I literally saw water running down a wall producing a puddle on the floor due to condensation
