Have had this toothing plane many years, never used it so it’s just been languishing amongst the general clutter of stuff on shelves.
Gave the one a light clean and a makers mark has emerged, cannot quite make it out, hopefully someone here may recognise it — looks like Alfred Berry ???
Thoughts are it is likely late 1800s - early 1900s Hearnshaw cutter helps a little but again maybe someone will know more.

Can't get at the updated BPM4 just now but in BPM3 the dates covering 2 separate London addresses are 1878-1880 and then 1883 - 1889.
There might be a bit of very faint marking (an address) in between the two very visible lines showing here.

I don't know if it's just my eyes, but above the maker's name, is there the image of a snorting bull or stag?

And is the name inscription "A Ledberry"? But I think your original suggestion is better than mine.
