I made a start on this today.
Understairsdoor.jpg

It is going under some stairs to provide storage. Will be fitting them tomorrow.

Looks like you are on the Red Bull again running at full throttle. Looking good!

After finishing the wardrobe I have been working on am having a slightly different week making replacement hardwood sashes for a large bay window in my parents old listed farmhouse. I hate making windows and what is it they say - "Never work for friends or family"

Oh well get them done and will then hopefully be starting on a large burr oak longcase - watch this space

Thanks Rog, Yes need to keep up a pace to pay the bills. My next job is a set of gates or could be garage doors. I like the sound of the longcase Rog, I have made a couple in the past but not in burr. Hope you are going to post some WIP's for us all? :D

I got them fitted today.

I have to splice a piece in to the door frame where there was a catch. It is no problem as I am returning to fit some kitchen cabinet doors and a couple of shelves. The lady customer insisted that she would clean the mess, (hence the shavings in the photo) I have also got some work to do on the stairs to stop them creaking for her. So all in all a good day. :D

Looks good mate.
Don't you hate it when they insist they'll clean up the mess?!
I have to 'absent mindedly' walk in with the hoover and do it.
I hate leaving customers houses messy.
Sounds like they're good customers, and are putting a bit of work your way.

Keep it up mate.

Adam.

Wow quick and busy, seems any time I come on here theres a new job in progress/job fitted by youself =D> Not sure what a longcase is but I'll keep an eye on here and see the results.

Got to keep up a pace to pay the bills. Well actually it is just the way I work. Longcase is a term for a clock Noskills known to most people as a Grandfather clock. I too am looking forward to the build on that.
